SBC Group C Recruitment 2026: 09 Posts Notification OUT, Apply Online From 22 August: Ship Building Centre (SBC), Visakhapatnam, under the Ministry of Defence (R&D), has released the Group C Recruitment 2026 notification (Advt. No. 3201/2026) for 09 vacancies. The recruitment includes posts such as Construction Assistant A (Fitter), Construction Handler (Electrician), Fire Engine Driver (Ordinary Grade), and Civilian Motor Transport Driver (Ordinary Grade).

Vacancy Details, and Qualification

Physical Standards and Endurance/Skill Test Details

Endurance Test (Fire Engine Driver): Shortlisted candidates (1:15 ratio) must carry filled sand & water buckets (100m) in 45 seconds, perform 20 Squats (Uthak Baithak), 15 Push-ups, and 15 Bent Knee Sit-ups.

Skill Test (Fire Engine Driver): Driving test on ramp and road, knowledge of traffic rules/symbols, routine checks, tyre rotation, defect identification, first-line repairs, and operation of water pump.

Skill Test (CMTD): Driving test (HMV/LMV) on ramp and road, inspection of lube oil/coolant, cleanliness, minor adjustments, and vehicle mechanism checks.

Written Exam Pattern (CBT)

1. Scheme: 100 Objective Type Questions (MCQs) for 120 Minutes.
2. Language: Bilingual (Hindi/English), except General English section.
3. Qualifying Marks: UR – 35%, OBC – 30%, SC/ST/PwBD – 25%.
4. CA’A & CH Structure: General Intelligence (20 Qs), General Awareness (20 Qs), Quantitative Aptitude (20 Qs), Trade Technical Syllabus (40 Qs).
5. FED & CMTD Structure: General Intelligence (25 Qs), General Awareness (25 Qs), Quantitative Aptitude (25 Qs), General English (25 Qs).

The selection process for SBC Group C Recruitment 2026 will consist of the following stages:
